Customs and Quarantine
Flypets has the expertise to ensure your pet is transported seamlessly with compliance to customs and quarantine laws.
All pets travelling internationally must fulfil the requirements of the receiving country of destination.
Flypets is able to provide you with all requirements well in advance of your pet’s travel. Some countries require the process to begin many months ahead to ensure all government requirements are met.
A similar situation applies to pets travelling into Australia. Depending on which country your pet is travelling from, Australia may require between 2 and 7 months pre-travel planning to meet Australia’s strict quarantine requirements.
For pets coming from countries other than New Zealand quarantine is required for 10 days, however please note there are some countries that do not allow direct entry of pets into Australia.
The only quarantine station in Australia is located in Melbourne. If your final destination is outside of Melbourne, Flypets is able to ensure that your pet reaches your home safely after the quarantine period.
